Dear Mr. Francis, I would like to take this oppertunity to wish you a Happy Birthday. I would also like to thank you for your wonderful collection of stories and novels. My father was a mounted police officer in New York City (who had never been on a horse until he was forty!), he was the one who started me reading your books. Banker was the first and I have been hooked ever since. I am usually first in line at the library when a new book comes out, and my personal collection has grown to about 19. I have read each several times and never tire of them. If I had to pick a favorite it would be hard, but Banker is sentamental favorite and Reflex I just loved. Have been reading your books since the '60's and have enjoyed every one! I reread them periodically, as the characters are friends I like to revisit. I wish that I could meet a man like one of your heroes! Thank you very much for all the pleasure your books have given me these 30 years.

My principal is sure that this statement was made by a character in one of your books, but cannot give me any more information. Dear Mr. Francis, I discovered your books about 15 years ago, and ever since you have been my favorite author. Before that I didn't even read mystery or your type of adventure novels. You have consumate skill in putting your readers into the middle of your stories. I still say every one should be made into films or TV movies. Have a Happy Birthday. You are indeed fortunate to be in the sunny islands in October. I have lived in Cayman Brac and remember it only gets slightly cooler and windy in the Fall/Winter season. Dear sir, I have been reading and re-reading your books for years. I was once told the test of good writers was the ability to re-read their works. If that is so, you have passed w/ "Flying Colors." In this modern world, so many books are printed that are unfit to be read. Your books are always greeted excitedly because one knows that they will always be great.
